Sky Adventures
Costa Rica La Fortuna has the Sky Adventures with a variaty of attractions on the property. The two most popular are the Sky Trek and the Sky Walk.
The Sky Trek is a 7 cable zip line, with rides up to 2200 feet long.
The Sky Walk combine different activities for those who do want to enjoy nature with a naturalist guide. Trails through the rainforest, with spectacular hanging bridges will be the experience of this ecosystem. The local guides with the knowledge in the biology and legends from our ancestor will make this walk a great feeling of life.
The Sky Tram is a gondola ride through the rainforest with a naturalist guide. The ride is also taken when you participate in the Sky Trek (zipline) adventure. From the top of the mountain the view of lake Arenal and the volcano are just breath taking.
Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge
With a scenery drive during the 1:20 minutes from La Fortuna, the river tour will be a great option to observe a vast of wildlife form the northern plains. The Rio Frio area usually offers to see: aquatic birds, sloths, caimans, turtles and bats, to mention some creatures. The area has 10,171 hectares, protected since 1984.
