Costa Rica Fortuna Waterfall

The descent to the base of La Fortuna Waterfall recalls a scene from a movie about a rainforest paradise.

Above the trailhead is a an unforgettable view of Arenal Volcano and when you’ve reached the bottom of the canyon, you can swim in the waters below the cascade.

The trail back is steep but not long enough to pose too much of a challenge for most walkers.  Located fifteen minutes outside La Fortuna, this excursion is both convenient and memorable.

The visitors center has a restaurant, gift shop, restrooms and reception.
